Why hire a wedding videographer if we already have a photographer?

Photos are beautiful, but they can’t capture movement, sound, or emotion in the same way. A wedding videographer allows you to relive the day - from hearing your vows to watching your family’s reactions and speeches. A cinematic wedding film preserves the laughter, the tears, and all the in-between moments that photography can’t fully capture.  

What’s your approach to wedding videography?

I create relaxed, cinematic wedding films that tell the real story of your day. I don’t overly stage or direct, I quietly capture the natural moments as they unfold, using professional equipment to deliver a polished, emotional, and personal final film.

How do you help us feel comfortable on camera?

My style is laid-back and unobtrusive. Most couples tell me they forgot I was even filming! I focus on keeping things natural and stress-free, so you can enjoy your day while I capture it honestly. No awkward posing, no pressure, just authentic wedding videography.

What’s included in your wedding videography packages?

My wedding video packages include 5–7 minute highlight films, full ceremony and speeches recordings, and coverage tailored to your day. All packages include professional audio, multiple cameras, and drone footage (weather and regulations permitting). There are also options for elopements and Gretna Green ceremony filming.  

Where do you offer wedding videography?

I’m a wedding videographer based in Cumbria, and I film weddings across the Lake District, Gretna Green, Dumfries & Galloway, Scottish Borders, the North Pennines, and surrounding areas.

Travel within 60 miles of Carlisle is included with all packages and this comfortably covers most venues across Cumbria, the Lakes, and southern Scotland. For weddings further afield in the UK, I’m happy to travel, and I’ll just add a small fee to cover fuel or overnight accommodation if needed.

Why do you only offer a 6-hour package? Can you stay for the party?

Great question! I’ve designed my 6-hour wedding videography package to focus on the most meaningful parts of the day, from morning prep through to the speeches (usually before the meal). That’s when all the real storytelling moments happen: the emotion, the nerves, the reactions, and the spoken words that matter.

Keeping coverage to 6 hours also makes the work more sustainable for me, allowing me to stay focused, creative, and continue offering a high-quality experience at a fair price. It reduces long downtime and travel demands - and that’s reflected in the cost of the package.

That said, if your first dance or evening party is important to you, I can offer extra coverage.

Do you offer drone footage in your wedding films?

Yes, where safe and legal, I include drone footage as part of your cinematic wedding video to help set the scene and give your film a polished, high-end feel.  

Do you offer wedding videography for elopements or smaller weddings?

Yes, I offer dedicated elopement video packages, including short highlight films and full ceremony recordings. These are perfect for smaller, intimate weddings across Cumbria and the Lakes.  

How long will you stay on the wedding day?

My main wedding video package includes up to 6 hours of coverage, typically from prep through to the end of speeches (if speeches happen pre-meal). For elopements or Gretna weddings, I offer shorter coverage tailored to those formats.  

How long does it take to receive our wedding video?

Turnaround is typically 4–6 weeks, depending on the season. I’ll keep you updated throughout and send everything via online delivery and optional SSD/USB.  

Can we choose the music for our wedding film?

I use licensed music to keep your film legal and shareable. You’re welcome to send suggestions for tone and feel, and I’ll choose a track that fits your day beautifully. I can't usually include specific tracks due to copyright.  

What makes your wedding films different?

My wedding films are story-driven, personal, and full of genuine moments. I include real audio, vows, speeches, laughter, to create a film that feels like your day, not just a montage. I don’t do cookie-cutter; I tell stories with heart.  

Do you film in a documentary or cinematic style?

Both! My style blends documentary wedding videography (natural and candid) with a cinematic editing style, clean visuals, real audio, emotional pacing. It’s storytelling without the stress.  

Can we request specific moments to be included?

Of course! If there’s something or someone you want featured (like a first look, a reading, or your gran’s dance moves), just let me know in advance and I’ll make sure it’s captured.  

Do you offer raw footage along with the final video?

I don’t provide raw footage, as it’s unedited and not suitable for viewing. I carefully select the best moments to craft your story. If there’s something specific you want captured, just let me know beforehand.

Can we customise our package?

Absolutely! Whether you want a simple ceremony-only wedding video, a full cinematic wedding film, or something in between, I can tailor the package to suit your plans and budget.
