Rose and David got married on a beautiful sunny day outside at Kielder Water. I love an outside ceremony, both for technical reasons (more room to move, better views & well lit) but also because I think everyone is a bit more relaxed. At Kielder Water they have a large Tipi for the reception and a courtyard type space for drinks. The spot for the ceremony was in front of the cabin Rose and her bridesmaids got ready in, so it wasn't far to travel to walk down the isle!

Rose and David were quite nervous, as many couples are. Most people are not used to being in front of a big group of people and getting married can be a bit nerve-racking even without audience! Because of this, I gave them both more space and we shot for less time before the ceremony. Fortunately, once the legal stuff was out the way, the party could begin.

The highlight of this film for me is the drone shots at sunset. It was so beautiful, I can see why they chose to get married at Kielder Waterside. It's a pretty remote location, with narrow country lanes that seemed never ending as I weaved over the Scottish border and back into England.

The tipi and waterside location was perfect for such a warm day and makes a brilliant summer wedding venue. I didn't get to see much of the accommodation but I know that's a big plus for couples with guests traveling from afar.

If you're getting married at Kielder Waterside, please get in touch to discuss how we can capture your story and help capture memories for you to look back on for many years to come.
